1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of PappioPDF, including the PappioPDF website, Windows software, licensing services, subscription services and related support.

By downloading, installing, purchasing, activating or using PappioPDF, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not install, activate or use PappioPDF.

2. About PappioPDF

PappioPDF is a Windows desktop software product operated by Brilliant Wiser Education Limited.

PappioPDF provides PDF-related tools which may include document editing, conversion, merging, splitting, OCR, compression, form filling, password protection and other supported document functions.

Features may vary by version, release, licence status or supported document type.

3. Software Licence

Subject to these Terms and any applicable purchase or subscription conditions, PappioPDF grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the software for lawful purposes.

Your permitted use may also be subject to the licence entitlement, subscription status or installation conditions shown at the time of purchase or activation.

PappioPDF is licensed, not sold. Except for the limited rights granted under these Terms, all rights in the software remain reserved.

4. Account, Licence and Activation Information

Certain PappioPDF functions may require licence verification, activation, subscription validation or internet connectivity.

You are responsible for providing accurate information when purchasing or activating PappioPDF and for keeping any account or licence information under your control secure.

You must not intentionally bypass, disable, manipulate or interfere with PappioPDF licensing, entitlement or activation systems.

5. Subscriptions

Your access to subscription-based features may depend on maintaining an active and valid subscription.

7. Refunds

9. Supported Systems and Compatibility

PappioPDF is designed for supported 64-bit Windows systems.

Compatibility may depend on the operating system version, hardware, installed software, document structure, file format and other technical conditions.

Not every PDF file or third-party document format will necessarily behave identically.

10. PDF and Document Limitations

PDF documents can contain many different structures, including embedded fonts, scanned content, forms, scripts, security settings, annotations and third-party extensions.

Some files may therefore be unsupported, partially supported, protected from modification or produce different results depending on their contents.

You should always review converted, edited or generated documents before relying on them for important business, legal, financial or other purposes.

11. Your Documents and Backups

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your files before editing, converting, compressing, merging, splitting or otherwise processing them with PappioPDF.

You should avoid overwriting your only copy of an important document until you have confirmed that the resulting file meets your requirements.

12. Acceptable Use

You may use PappioPDF only for lawful purposes.

You must not use PappioPDF to:

• Violate applicable laws or regulations.
• Infringe intellectual property or other rights.
• Process or distribute material you do not have the right to use.
• Distribute malware or harmful content.
• Attempt to interfere with PappioPDF licensing or security systems.
• Use the software in a manner intended to damage or disrupt our services or systems.

13. Restrictions

Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you must not:

• Copy or distribute PappioPDF except as permitted by these Terms.
• Sell, sublicense, rent or lease the software without authorization.
• Remove proprietary notices from the software.
• Attempt to bypass licence or activation controls.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

14. Intellectual Property

PappioPDF, its software, website, branding, design and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of PappioPDF or any intellectual property rights to you.

Third-party libraries, components or technologies included with PappioPDF may be subject to their own licence terms.

15. Third-Party Services

PappioPDF may rely on third-party providers for services such as payments, hosting, licensing infrastructure, email or other technical services.

We are not responsible for the independent operation of third-party services outside our reasonable control.

16. Availability of the Service

We aim to keep PappioPDF and related online services available, but continuous or uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

Services may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical failures, provider outages, security events or circumstances beyond our control.

17. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to PappioPDF licensing or related services where reasonably necessary, including where:

• There is material breach of these Terms.
• Fraudulent or unauthorized activity is reasonably suspected.
• Payment has been reversed, cancelled or determined to be invalid.
• Use of the service creates a security or technical risk.
• Suspension is required by applicable law.

Where reasonably possible, we may provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue before termination.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PappioPDF is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that every PDF or document will be processed without error, that every feature will work with every file, or that the software will always operate without interruption.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Brilliant Wiser Education Limited will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use PappioPDF.

This may include loss of data, loss of business, lost profits, business interruption or similar losses, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

You remain responsible for maintaining backups and verifying documents before relying on processed output.

20. Consumer Rights

These Terms are not intended to exclude or limit any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

If applicable law gives you rights that cannot be waived by contract, those rights continue to apply.

21. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the PappioPDF Privacy Policy.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to PappioPDF, our services, payment arrangements or legal requirements.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to you in your place of residence.
